While road tripping from San Francisco to Phoenix, Arizona, I stayed at Palm Canyon Resort in Palm Springs, California, about two hours east of Los Angeles.
This resort is one of the properties Hilton Grand Vacations acquired. I was excited to hear that the resort has started the rebranding process. The property is in a great location with a nice pool.
This trip was the second time I’ve stayed at Palm Canyon Resort. I decided to stay in the Studio rather than the 1-Bedroom Suite to use fewer Points while still enjoying the wonderful amenities.
Here’s my review of this resort and what you can look forward to once the updates are complete.
The Studio
My Studio was on the third floor and had a good view of the pool and the surrounding mountains. I enjoyed morning coffee and evening drinks on the private balcony.
The Studio itself has a lot of space. There’s a small table for two, a large TV, a sofa bed and a comfortable queen-size bed. The TV is mounted in the middle of the Studio, so you can watch from the bed or the couch.
There’s also plenty of storage for hanging your clothes, a laundry basket with soap and a shared laundry room.
The Kitchenette
One of the wonderful features of the Studios is that the in-Suite kitchenette has a two-burner stovetop and mini fridge. The kitchenette makes it convenient for one to two people to cook while traveling.
I tend to use the kitchen for breakfast and lunch and the outdoor grills for dinner.
Of course, there are wonderful restaurants in Palm Springs, so eating out is also an option.
The Amenities
The pool area is in the middle of the property, surrounded by four buildings. There are multiple water slides for kids and multiple hot tubs for adults. There’s a poolside bar, plenty of lounge chairs and a covered area for when it’s really hot.
There’s also a fitness center and plenty of grills at the property.
