What Is Formula 1® Racing?
Formula 1, also known as F1® racing, isn’t your average car racing sport. It’s glitz and glamour mixed with fearless race car drivers who share a passion for (super) speed.
Since its inaugural season in 1950, Formula 1 has remained the highest class of international racing for open-wheel-single-seater formula racing cars.
Its name comes from “formula,” a set of rules covering car design, engine size, component usage and more, and “1” which denotes that it is the premier formula. A Formula 1 season consists of a series of races, known as Grands Prix™, that happen worldwide on either custom-built circuits or closed public roads. A Grand Prix takes place over three days and includes three practice sessions and one qualifying race, all leading up to the official race.
Come race time, 10 teams also known as constructors, with two drivers each, compete for a place on the podium. Each team must circle the track, a total distance of nearly 190 miles or race within a time limit of two hours. The top three finishers are then presented with trophies.

The FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN SILVER LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX 2024 will take place at the legendary Las Vegas Strip Circuit™.
