1. Where Is The Blue Mountains?

The Blue Mountains is a town in Grey County, Ontario, about 90 minutes northwest of Toronto. It’s named after and home to Blue Mountain.

2. What Is The Best Time To Visit The Blue Mountains, Ontario?

That depends on how you like to spend your time. For winter sports enthusiasts, the general season is mid-December through late March. However, The Blue Mountains is home to year-round fun.

For activities not dependent on fresh powder, July is the best time to visit based on overall weather and climate.

Standing at an elevation of 1,480 feet, Blue Mountain isn’t as large as some of Canada’s western mountains, but its 12 lifts and 42 trails, including 30 night-lit trails, are chock-full of fun for skiers and boarders.

6. Do You Have To Pay To Hike Blue Mountain?

The short answer is yes. Visitors should plan to purchase an “Explore Pass” if they want unlimited access to Blue Mountain’s extensive summer and winter trail network. However, the town of The Blue Mountains’ proximity to outdoor activities off the mountain makes it easy to chart your own course without the Explore Pass.
