Joey Fatone is many things: an entertainer extraordinaire, former member of boyband sensation *NSYNC and Hilton Grand Vacations Brand Ambassador. Things To Do In Orlando
While theme parks are the city’s top attraction, Joey’s discovered plenty to love about Orlando. He even shared one of his favorite hidden gems, an unforgettable outdoor adventure: “Wallaby Ranch is something probably not many people know about. You can hang glide even though there aren’t mountains in Florida. You fly up in tandem with a professional hang glider. Then they release you to glide down. It’s the craziest thing,” said Joey.
Foodie vacations are growing popular as more destinations offer a variety of culinary adventures. “There are so many places foodies can visit because food trucks are booming everywhere,” said Joey. Joey is a bit of a food-truck connoisseur as the owner of Fat One’s food truck, both a delightful play on words and hot spot for jumbo hot dogs. Joey’s Travel Tips
Whether Joey is returning to Las Vegas or heading to a new destination, his travel tips are essential for all vacations. “One: Stay hydrated. Seriously. People don’t think about drinking water when they’re traveling, but it’s so important,” he said.
“Two: Get as much as you can in a carry-on because sometimes when you check your bag, it decides to make other trips. Try to pack in everything,” Joey said emphatically. “Shove the socks in the actual shoes. Shove the underwear in there as well. I usually have my Oculus, an iPad, headphones, Band-Aids, hand sanitizer and toothpicks to make your mouth minty fresh,” he added with his signature pearly white smile.
He continued, “Number three: I guess I’m old school, but I carry cash on me. You never know if your card’s not going to work or if you’ll need a cab. Carry a little cash, not much — $10 or $20.”
