For Pam W.'s blended family of 14, multigenerational vacations are just par for the course. As Hilton Grand Vacations Members since 2010, Pam and her husband have taken their fair share of family vacations. “They help us connect, recharge and remember the importance of family," said Pam.
Not a year goes by without a vacation for this family. After discovering just how flexible timeshare with Hilton Grand Vacations is, they decided vacation membership was the way to go.
Pam explained, "We loved that we could use HGV ClubPoints and Hilton Honors Points to travel — along with RCI® Exchange for more options. I've never regretted our membership. Our timeshare offers endless possibilities.”
As for traveling with such a large group, the family likes to combine their Points for one big family trip to book multiple Suites easily. "Multi-bedroom Suites are super fun to share. A full kitchen ensures we can feed the kiddos quickly anytime, and we put the washer and dryer to use — going home with no laundry to do after vacation is a great feeling," added Pam.
Pam's other must-haves for her family include a great pool, on-site dining and extra activities like a recreation room.
With over a decade of membership, the family has made memories in Orlando, Las Vegas and Carlsbad, California. "We’ve even used our Points to book our son's entire Italian honeymoon through the Hilton portfolio," she said.
So far, Pam said her family’s favorite multigenerational travel destinations are Elara, a Hilton Grand Vacations Club in Las Vegas and MarBrisa, a Hilton Grand Vacations Club in Carlsbad.
"My best Hilton Grand Vacations trip was when I had all my adult children and grandchildren together for a complete family vacation. The convenience of staying at Elara for that trip was perfect," recalled Pam fondly.
"The grown-up kiddos could head out to dinner and dancing just a short walk away while the grandkids stayed with us for a night swim at the pool."
Pam's crew also enjoyed time together at MarBrisa. This resort won the seal of approval from the group thanks to a pool with waterslides, a playground, foosball and pool tables.
"We enjoyed the pool and recreation area a bunch. We also loved the barbecue grill and fire pit for s'mores. The resort had s'mores kits for sale at the front desk and tons of fire pits around the property. We found our own little spot and relaxed — uninterrupted. It was wonderful," she emphasized.
