If you’ve got your eye on Ocean Enclave, a Hilton Grand Vacations Club, in Myrtle Beach, I’m sharing everything you need to know in this Owner review. We arrived in Myrtle Beach during the peak summer season and were extremely impressed by this oceanfront resort.

Excellent Service From the Start

The porters were very helpful in unloading our car and keeping the area organized and moving, despite the many visitors. You can valet park or self-park, and the parking garage is only a few yards away. As a bonus, the front desk staff were delightful and quickly got us into our Suites — much earlier than check-in time.

Best-in-Class Suites

Where should I start? Each of our 1-Bedroom Suites was spacious and designed stylishly and contemporary, and the partial ocean views from the spacious balconies were beautiful.

You’ll be thrilled with the kitchen if you like to cook as much as we do, as it has plenty of space to accommodate two people comfortably.

As for the bedroom and bathroom? Both were well designed and fully equipped with top-notch technology and well supplied. We absolutely loved the barn doors in the bathroom, and it was a nice touch for the bedrooms to be tucked away towards the back of the Suite for a peaceful night’s sleep.

Idyllic Beach Days Await You

Accessing the beach was effortless, thanks to the private gates from the pool area. You can rent beach chairs and umbrellas from the city, but it’s always a great idea to check with the Concierge to see if any Owners left any beach gear behind.

"Many owners pass on their beach chairs and umbrellas to the next lucky vacationers; It’s just the spirit of Hilton Grand Vacations’ Owners."

— Irene C., Hilton Grand Vacations Owner

Insider Tip: Check with some of the Hilton Grand Vacations Facebook groups a few days ahead of your check-in date to see if someone is checking out and has supplies to pay forward.

I also want to point out that the beach never seemed overly crowded while we visited, and it was very easy to find a good spot to set up our chairs to enjoy the beach or go for a walk in the water. And the lifeguards on duty were attentive and regularly interacted with visitors to ensure their safety while in the ocean.

Behind the row of hotels was a convenient boardwalk that led you to the “downtown” area where you could enjoy live music, enjoy something to eat, go for a ride on one of many carnival-style rides and peruse various shops. We felt very safe at the boardwalk, which was well lit, uncrowded and complete with security cameras.

Dine-in or Out for Delicious Options

Whether you choose to enjoy a “home-cooked” meal in your amazing in-suite kitchen or you want to sample the local cuisine, there are plenty of options. Grocery stores are plentiful, and many are within a fifteen-minute drive. We stopped by Costco and Aldi for several days of groceries and pre-cooked meals.

Insider tip: we always bring a travel cooler and our favorite spices in travel containers.

Head to Murrell’s Inlet for some of the most enjoyable and popular restaurants where the locals eat, especially seafood restaurants. We also went off the beaten path and had dinner at Jerusalem Mediterranean Restaurant’s Lebanese place. The décor is unique, the food is authentic, and the staff is friendly.

Top Things To Do in Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach is home to an abundance of activities for all ages. Aside from the beach, there are carnival-style rides, ziplines, an obstacle course and several exceptionally well-designed and challenging mini-golf courses.

The adults in your group can visit a spa to relax, enjoy one of 90 golf courses in the area, or check out the local historical sites that will help you understand the vast history of South Carolina. Nature lovers will appreciate that there are several parks for long walks to reconnect with nature.

If you enjoy gardening, I recommend visiting Brookgreen Gardens, an easy 30-minute car ride from Ocean Enclave. By day, you can check out their massive property that incorporates the sculptures of local artisans with impressive floral and plantings displays.

Or, for an evening outing, you can enjoy live music concerts accompanied by unique lighting displays throughout the park.
